The actress has decided to put on the market her 2,095 square foot beachfront house, which she has shared with ex-boyfriend Stuart Townsend. The Oscar-awarded star through her Africa Outreach Project has joined forces with Citizen Effect, a volunteer organization, to match those funds by having Citizen Philanthropists fund-raise $5,000 each. “We are excited about this partnership because our goal is to help the children of Cloetesville live healthy, productive lives and we cannot go at this alone,” said Theron. “Citizen Effect allows us to get more passionate people involved and have a greater overall impact.”

The South-African born actress has embarked in a new project to build community soccer programs that include health education and services. The project, which will serve to schools in South Africa's Umkhanyakude District, an area plagued by a high rate of HIV, is expected to be ready by June 11.

Charlize Theron was taken to hospital recently due to an unknown stomach virus. Sources claim the South African-born star rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center because she thought she had food poisoning. Charlize Theron reveals she has never been interested in marriage – but she always want to have children. The South-African actress, who has been dating Irish director Stuart Townsend for six years, opened up about her family plans on TV show 'The View'. When asked about getting hitched, the Oscar-awarded said, "I just know I don't want it, Stuart doesn't want it. Why mess with a good thing? "Even when I was little, I never dreamed about walking down the aisle," she added.  The 33-year-old beauty however, remarked, "I always wanted to be a mom because I have always had such a close relationship with my own mom." Theron joked, "Okay, let me break it to you, I actually have seven children nobody knows about!"

Charlize Theron blushed when a reporter surprised her with a sleeping arrangements question. “I really like you so much and have a lot of respect for you but I would like to marry you - and I have a question: which side (of the bed) do you prefer to sleep on?" Contactmusic quoted the reporter, as saying. The beautiful actress quickly replied, “The side that you are not on," before she jokingly called out , "Security! Security! Charlize Theron dazzled with a grey dress at the LA premiere of her new film Sleepwalking on Thursday night (March 6). The 32-year-old star starred and produced the movie, in which also acted Dennis Hopper, Nick Stahl and Anna Sophia Robb. Sleepwalking revolves around an 11-year-old girl, (performed by Robb,14), who is trying to come to terms with her mother's departing. The film will hit theaters on March 14th.

Charlize Theron has revealed she refused to lose weight when she was a model. The actress, who began her career working in the catwalks at the age of 16, said, "I had the capability to be a bigger model than I was."  She went on, "They were always telling me: 'Lose five pounds and you'll be a supermodel.'  But I saw modeling like waitressing — it was a way to pay for another career, and that career was dance." But the South African star had no problem to put on some weight to portray serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the acclaimed film Monster.  “It’s naive and a little sweet that people think weight gain constitutes acting. Charlize Theron was found crying under a blanket after her mother shot her drunk father dead. Although she had denied talking about that appalling night, a new book in her native South Africa has emerged with a witness statement made to a police. The actress was 15 years old when the incident occurred. In her statement, Charlize, now 32, said, "Someone hammered on the kitchen door. I told my mom that it was my dad. Charlize Theron has suffered a robbery in her multi-million residence in the Hollywood Hills. The Oscar winner’s home was targeted by thieves at the weekend, who broke into her estate, reports TMZ.com. However, it hasn’t  been reported whether she was at home when the burglary took place. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were previous victims of the crime wave in February, while Ugly Betty star David Blue was also robbed over the weekend, according to the New York Post.

She told the press, “My opinion is that our president should be a little bit more responsible. Theron's Africa Out Reach Project and talk show star Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network provided lead funding to settle the unit. However, the movie directed by Paul Haggis, is believed to rise loud about the impact of the war on the families involved.

Charlize Theron recently confessed her thoughts about becoming  a mother. Althought the actress really wants to have kids one day, she puts off motherhood because doesn’t want to look like ‘a whale’. She didn’t know if they were going to match up to the talents of her and co-stars Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones. But later she says , "Paul said, 'Trust me', and I did. "They showed up and I was blown away. I couldn't tell the difference between the actors and the real soldiers. "It was really great and amazing. Amazing actors and I think I know why. I think that all of this is still so fresh for them. That was really what this work was about, it was just the truths of their lives. I think that really helped."

Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson only used natural skincare products from the Alchemist’s Apprentice during the shooting of their forthcoming film “Battle in Seattle.” According to the lead make-up artist, the actors specially requested this line of pure products, 100% synthetic and chemical-free personal.

According to reports, Oscar Winner Charlize Theron is one of director Joe Carnahan's favorite to star  L.A Confidential sequel, White Jazz. The South African actress would play Glenda Bledsoe alongside George Clooney and Ray Liotta. The original 1997 film  earned Kim Basinger  a Best Supporting actress Oscar. Meanwhile, the 'Monster' star will play in a Paul Haggis movie about former US President Bill Clinton's Whitewater scandal.

Film director  Paul Haggis, who was prized with an Oscar award  for drama "Crash", thought a movie version of these true events and chose the South-African star to play the role of Susan McDougal, the woman who agitated the scandal.

Charlize Theron will star opposite Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes and Willem Dafoe in a new action-movie which is going to be shoot in Iraq.  'The Hurt Locker' is about  a bomb disposal unit restricted to a hazardous  game of cat and mouse, where everbody is a possible enemy. Kathryn Bigelow, known for her work in 'Point Break', is directing from a screenplay she also co-wrote with war reporter Mark Boal.  It is expected to begin photography later in the spring.

The dispute between Hollywood actress Charlize Theron and jeweler Raymond Weil has moved to a new zone. Theron’s lawyers asked to  move the lawsuit from New York state court to a much bigger federal court in the same city. The star, who  had signed a contract to wear only Weil watches while she was the face of the firm, was seen wearing Christian Dior and Montblanc watches at different events.

A Hollywood source  said: 'You couldn't make up a life story like Smith's. Studios are falling over themselves to pay tribute to an incredible woman. Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil sued  Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron for allegedly broke an endorsement deal  with the luxury company to only wear their watches. Theron is accused of wearing a Christian Dior watch during a media appearance, therefore breaking her $20 agreement. David Jaroslawicz, an attorney for the watchmaker, told the magazine: "If you're the model for Ralph Lauren, you can't show up wearing Gucci at the Academy Awards . She undercut our entire ad campaign. We spent a fortune on an ad campaign centered around her. Then she goes off and makes us look silly in the industry by wearing Dior" .

Charlize Theron, the oscar-winning actress, went to  Good Morning America to talk about her first documentary, East of Havana, that hits exlusive theatres Friday . The keypoint of the political movie is the men and women of Cuba, their life,  their music, and their fight for social justice.  "It's amazing to me how resilient people become; such a love for people who grow up in harsh landscapes," she said. "They naturally have this instinct to survive, no matter what."
